Derrick Land

Derrick Land is a third-degree High Priest in the Rising Phoenix Tradition of Wicca. Hailing from the small military town of Harker Heights, he got his first introduction into witchcraft through Silver Ravenwolf's "Teen Witch" book in 1998 at age 14. From there, he continued to self-study by reading whatever became available. In 2011 he moved to Austin where he sought training in a formal coven. Joining Oak Henge Grove that same year, he continued his studies for a year and day and was initiated in 2012. In 2017, after being elevated to 2nd and finally 3rd degree over the years, he hived off to form his own coven, Shadow Wolf. Community service and charity work has always been a passion of his. Wanting to do more for the local pagan and witchcraft communities, he co-created the concept of what eventually became Austin Witchfest Inc., of which he currently serves as president.

Ramya of Thewood

Ramya of Thewood is an eclectic witch hailing from the piney woods of East Texas. She has been practicing since her mid-20s, and has a strong focus on garden magic and cottage/hearth witchery. She is the administrative director for Celebration of Womanhood and is one of the three witches in charge of Austin Full Moon Circles.
